Jayco's fix for that was to just put a few screws into the exterior. It is such a waiting game to get these items fixed!
This thing is 12 months old been in the shop for over 4 months and are nowhere near having anything fixed. I believe this is a very good product so I will write later when these items are completed! My wife & I fell in love with this Pinnacle after looking at 3 other ,000 to 0,000 range 5th wheels.
This is a SOLIDLY built machine and it has exceeded every expectation I had. Nice trailer, towed great, comfortable, very livable and built well. First trip out closet collapsed queen bed came apart awning is coming apart bathroom sink leeks. The shower stall door leaks, as does the rear around the poorly designed power input for the electricity.
I believe I would be hard pressed to find another RV from any other company that could match let alone exceed what I have got now with my Jayco Redhawk. The quality is just poor and then trying to get service ha ha. You are better off buying another brand Bought new March 11, 2017. First time out Furnance did not work had to hookup drive to dealer. So far, we have had to spend 75.00 for repairs and it's hardly been a years worth of use.
Compare over 100 RV manufacturers, each rated by individual model.
Side exterior metal panel came unbolted caught wind and bent up going down the road, tankless water heater never heated (Jayco laughed at us when we called about that). We had water leaking through 2 ceiling vents and 2 ceiling speakers onto our furniture and carpet soaked up so much moisture we had to pull it up.
The way they fix things and slap things back together I'm scared to death to get this thing back. 1.5 baths, fireplace, full size stainless steel refrigerator, large master closet, large one piece shower, 2 sinks in master bath, 2 air conditioners, stainless steel sinks, convection microwave, 2 tvs, pantry, 2 theater reclining chairs, large couch, to many other features to list... of 2016 for permanent living and have really enjoyed it however there have been some issues that have taken months to rectify and some still not rectified yet! We took delivery of our model 36FBTS exactly 2 weeks ago and we have a list of issues: 1) broken light fixture, 2) broken antenna cable, 3) missing guides on sliding doors, 4) tires rubbing on top of wheel wells & slide outs, 5) toilet mounted too high & cracked the flange, 6) trunk door rubs & at times won't open, 7) two clearance lights falling out, 8) door on 1/2 bath warped, 9) very weak (almost NO) brakes, 10) construction debris on tops of slides chewing up the seals, 11) soft floor in main bath feels like it's ready to crack & give way. Looks like all Jayco is worried about is beating the clock. Thank God I have a GREAT dealer trying desperately to rectify my problems so that I can finally get on the road.
We paid over ,000 for this and it's a total loss. My husband travels for work from coast to coast and tells all the other guys that travel with campers about Jayco. We purchased this R V from dealer in Winter Park Fl. The automatic fan in the kitchen area stopped working. I owned a 1988 Jayco Designer 5th wheel, and the craftsmanship was far superior then what it is now. I have a brand new North Point and have a couple of rock chips. to get the paint code to have a local body shop make up some touch up paint and was told by JAYCO to hook up the trailer and take it in to the body shop to be matched.
We've stopped several people from buying one and getting totally ripped off like we have!!! Been in dealer for over 2 months waiting on fix and parts. Do they realize what a hassle that is when all you would need is the paint code to have some made.
If you're looking to purchase from this company save yourself the headache and DONT!!! this is the first company that I have dealt with that will not provide a paint number. When we started using it, we noticed small problems, the plumbing fixtures did not work properly. This unit had a leak in the roof and the entire underneath of the floor was shot.
